Holiday pay

Welplan operates the centrally managed, Inland Revenue approved holiday pay schemes for the building services industry, which allows holiday pay to be provided free of employers’ and employees’ National Insurance Contributions (NIC).

With Welplan’s building services holiday pay scheme, employers save 12.8 per cent on holiday pay costs, or approximately £380 per employee per year, and employees save up to 11 per cent, adding about £260 to their net pay.

As the Government is withdrawing the NIC exemption in October 2012, it is important to act now to take advantage of the savings in National Insurance   from participation in the holiday pay scheme.
