Energy assessor accreditation

BESCA (Building Engineering Services Competence Accreditation Ltd) offers a training and accreditation scheme which provides opportunities for Energy Assessors to carry out inspections and write reports on air-conditioning systems required under EPBD legislation.

BESCA’s Energy Assessor Scheme is the only accreditation scheme that certifies assessors to inspect both Level 1 and Level 2 air-conditioning systems.

Established by the HVCA and authorised by The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the scheme provides an opportunity for individuals and companies to undertake the mandatory inspections and assessments of air- conditioning systems.

The scheme covers:
• Level 1, simple, packaged or VRV air-conditioning systems
• Level 2, complex, central-cooled air or water air-conditioning systems
