Domestic customer guarantees
“I didn’t know you could do that!”
Two years after completion of a contract, the HVCA’s Double Guarantee will provide an additional four years’ cover against major damage to the customer’s home due to defective design, materials or workmanship.
The Double Guarantee will automatically cover members’ customers when:
• Members install, replace, upgrade, extend or repair a plumbing or heating system in residential premises with an installed value of up to £50,000
• Members fail to honour contractual obligations – in which case, the HVCA will meet the cost of putting things right members become insolvent, bankrupt or go into liquidation – when the HVCA will arrange for the work to be completed at no additional cost
